Extending Policy Languages to the Semantic Web
نویسندگان
چکیده
In the semantic web environment it is important to be able to specify access control requirements about subjects accessing the information and about resources to be accessed in terms of the rich ontologybased metadata describing them. In this paper, we outline how current standard policy languages such as XACML can be extended to address this issue. Then, we describe a reference architecture for enforcing our semantics-aware policies.

A procedure for Web Service Selection Using WS-Policy Semantic Matching
In general, Policy-based approaches play an important role in the management of web services, for instance, in the choice of semantic web service and quality of services (QoS) in particular. The present research work illustrates a procedure for the web service selection among functionality similar web services based on WS-Policy semantic matching. In this study, the procedure of WS-Policy publi...
متن کاملThe Semantic Web and Policy ?
As Semantic Web technologies mature and become more accepted by researchers and developers alike, the widespread growth of the Semantic Web seems inevitable. However, this growth is currently hampered by the lack of well-defined security protocols and specifications. Though the Web does include fairly robust security mechanisms, they do not translate appropriately to the Semantic Web as they do...
متن کاملAn Executive Approach Based On the Production of Fuzzy Ontology Using the Semantic Web Rule Language Method (SWRL)
Today, the need to deal with ambiguous information in semantic web languages is increasing. Ontology is an important part of the W3C standards for the semantic web, used to define a conceptual standard vocabulary for the exchange of data between systems, the provision of reusable databases, and the facilitation of collaboration across multiple systems. However, classical ontology is not enough ...
متن کاملProbabilistic Models for the Semantic Web: A Survey
Recently, there has been an increasing interest in formalisms for representing uncertain information on the Semantic Web. This interest is triggered by the observation that knowledge on the web is not always crisp and we have to be able to deal with incomplete, inconsistent and vague information. The treatment of this kind of information requires new approaches for knowledge representation and ...
متن کاملSemantic Web Security and Privacy 1 N K Prasanna Anjaneyulu Anna
The Semantic Web aims at enabling sophisticated and autonomic machine to machine interactions without human intervention, by providing machines not only with data but also with its meaning (semantics). In the Semantic Web, any two strangers can interact with each other automatically and therefore this assumption does not hold. In this setting, traditional security mechanisms are not suitable an...
